Upon further thought, if I had cared what everyone else thought, I'd have found it very difficult to retain any sense of identity within our group of exceptionally opinionated smartasses...

Pick you apart one by one? I suppose I could do that... The point of the post isn't that I reject the opinions of my friends and the people I choose to hang out with. The point is that I wish to make it entirely clear that I do not take literary critiques from people who read my blog. Your opinions, if they differ from mine, are entirely welcome. I never have an opinion so strong that I will not consider another one. That doesn't mean I will devote more than 5 seconds to one that makes no sense.

And the fact that the blog is on a public forum is completely irrelevent. Just because people are bound to offer opinions doesn't make those opinions worth shite. The post was not intended to say "never tell me what you think", it was intended to say "never expect me to give a shit what you think". I think its a fair recommendation :)

Well that told them (*I would say us but it would only mean that I was having a royal existensial crisis..I'm self-involved like that). I especially like that you started by addressing them* as kids...condescending. Sorry to rehash old posts but as I said I've just arrived and like to give my opinion on everything...plus it's this or work...and work is hot and boring.
I'm sorry hon but the fact that you write something that happens to be published on the internet may not be a request for one's opinion on it....but in most cases it's pretty much a given. As a fellow opinionated, loud-mouth I would think you would agree. Pick us apart one by one darling...it's more fun that way. Don't let anger drive you into generalisations.
You must miss us....I've never known such a pedantic group of people...that cut each other down and point out each other's mistakes (mostly grammatical) with such a blatant disregard for common platitudes.I truly believe I learnt more from our group of friends than I did from college...(most of it was shite...but there were a few philosophical gems).Put simply, one rarely learns new things, or forms new opinions without being challenged by others....and secondly, most of the people you hung around with in college live to criticise and contradict...so if you really feel this way (unwanting of our opinion..) then what were you doing with us... Is this the masochism we spoke of earlier. The knowing destruction of one's soul borne from a low-self esteem that you feel forced to perpetuaute...haaaa, I'm being an arse now aren't I?You know I love ya babes, Mwah (that's a big kiss by the way)
