Thank you. You have been an amazing help to me.

For the rest of you, i’ve been doing microcontroller development for the past few weeks, trying to get up to speed on it. The initial learning curve is probably steeper than anything else i’ve done in as long as i can remember. But oh is it fun -) Today i was having some problems getting things working, and myself and cjb conversed in the region of 47KB before all was conquered. At a guess, if he wasn’t around, i’d have typed that much on my own, mainly repeating “WHY IS IT NOT WORKING!!!”. *cough*. As it is, i have some very minor things to show for the day, but it’s enough to make me very happy.

Yay for microcontrollers. Yay for assembly. No really. I’ve really enjoyed this -)

Happiness - (engineering) A flashing LED. The more LEDs that are flashing, the happier the engineer feels. ;-)
I agree. the only way to get the Machine to DO what it is supposed to do is - assembler. The first microprocessor I convinved to do this was the CDP1802, many years ago. I can still wake up in the middle of night with hex-dumps scrolling. Pure joy.
Keep hacking. We have the Tyndall motes to crack and a Portal to build.

Won’t be long before you have two player pong set up on those LEDs. Let me know and I’ll come kick your ass in it! :D
