‘Chinese poteen’ 2006 March 5 18:22
Posted by diamond in : Work, Random , add a commentLast night was mike cooke’s (one of the guys in the idc) 30th birthday party. He sent me a txt during the day asking if i was going to be attending, to which i replied that it wouldn’t be a party without me ,-) I’ve generally not gone to many of the IDC gatherings, but i was glad i made an exception yesterday, as i had a very enjoyable evening. Mike had even organised a raffle (with suspicious hand-written tickets) in which i won a very suspicious looking container which i was assured was full of ‘chinese poteen’:

My poor nearly-departed treo 600 has been retired, and a replacement just purchased on ebay. I got very lucky, i’m paying about €100 for this one, the last one cost about €170, and the current going rate on ebay is about €150. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on it. Maybe then i’ll finally remember what it is that i’m forgetting to do -)
I woke up this morning barely able to breath. I could only take very very shallow breaths. It seems my lungs had filled with, well, fluid, overnight. At first i thought i was having an asthma attack (which i haven’t had in many years), but after a bit i woke up enough to realise that the symptoms didn’t match. I’m guessing that all the cold air from the cycle yesterday has given me a chest cold. After a few hours of coughing i was able to breath a bit more easily. If this happens again i’ll be going to a gp tomorrow. Not a fun experience today -/
