Supply Chain Management 2006 March 14 19:20
Posted by diamond in : Random , 2 commentsWent to the dermatologist on thursday, he removed the patches from my back. The results confirm that i’m not allergic to anything (“not even nickel”). Confusingly, this seems to simplify things. I’ve basically been prescribed 3 different creams, of varying strengths, to use at my own discretion at different stages of skin disintegration. The big plus, as far as i’m concerned, is that all of them only have to be applied twice a day. That’s perfectly manageable. Certainly compared to the every 20 minutes i had to apply the moisturiser before.
Saturday night i went up to co. mayo to mr. lyda’s birthday party. It was, in a word, excellent. One of the most enjoyable nights i’ve had in a long long time. We had food, braved some of kate’s homemade cider (and possibly mead, i don’t remember), knife-fought with spoons, played pictionary and hearts till the early hours of the morning. The pictionary in particular was note-worthy. I amazed everyone (including myself) by managed to convey the word ‘unconscious’ using some crude diagramming, and kate’s team put the rest of us in stitches when kate was trying to sketch the concept of ‘park and ride’. The rest of the teams had seen the card and knew what the drawing was meant to mean, but the team in question were so far from getting it that their guesses became utterly surreal. The funniest (and completely earnest) guess was ’supply chain management’. I laughed until i couldn’t breathe (it’s ok, that sorted itself out after a while).
There are photos out there, i’ll link to them when they’re online. I only have a few (kathryn taking a leathman to kev’s brand new killer bunny (yes, the one of monty python), kathryn and bunny when they realise they’re being watched, and the ominous arrival of the pictionary box). And i’ve just realised that kathryn (aka hellbunnie) has a lot in common with the killer bunny (ok ok, i’ll stop now).
