Had my appointment with my consultant today. He seems quite pleased with how things are going, says he doesn’t need to see me again for another year. If/when i get a more regular job i’m supposed to start slowly reducing the amount of medication i’m taking to see if it’s possible to become less dependant on it. So, why am i so utterly depressed?

P’raps you’re sad at the idea of not having lil white friends to carry in your pocket? *cuddle* though

I think it’s definately the Mac Mini…

Or the Dell – we better take them off your hands just in case…

On a more serious note, it’s difficult (for anyone) to feel great when you rarely get a good night’s sleep. I’m a zombie after 1 bad night’s sleep. Can’t imagine what it’s like when you get lots of them together.

Another question is if it’s a depression or the “bruising” after. It takes a hell of a long time to pick up on ones energy again.
Also, you have a regular job ;-) It’s chaotically regular, of course. But chaos is also a defined pattern, quite often more interesting than being pigeionholed in a 9-5 matrix.
Your limit is your imagination. There’s all this computer crap, developed by crap programmers on crap platforms designed by crap engineers [I'm {probably} not talking about people in Cork...]. Just think. How would you design the hw/sw that REALLY makes a difference… Perhaps Turing and von Neumann got it wrong! Why does some very simple things take a gazillion of lines to code? Why is there always a bug?
