Today was my second-last day working in the wild onion (great food, terrible website -). I’m really looking forward to having my saturdays back. Afterwards i went for a cycle with mark. Last weekend he took part in the Wicklow 200 tour. Have a look at that route. It’s… terrifying. Mark managed to average 28.72kmph over the 200km course, which is just stunning.

When i started cycling last year, i had a goal of cycling to nenagh and back before christmas. Myself and dan actually managed that back in december, which is something i’ll always be proud of. The question is what should be my next goal? I’m currently thinking of taking part next year in the wussier counterpart to the Wicklow 200 which is ‘only’ 100km. That would be very cool to do.

Anyway, today’s cycle doesn’t even compare to any of that. We did 28k @ 26.05kmph, despite me spending the first half going “Maaaark… i’ve got a stitch. Maaark… i’ve got stomach cramps. Maaaark… a cat ate my pineapple”, and other such things. It was a fantastic cycle. We went out the country a bit, to castleconnell, and other such faraway places. Yay for cycling i say.
